Belorussian Harness Horse
Also called Belarus Harness Horse, Belarussian Harness Horse, Беларускі запражны конь (Belarusian).
The breed founded in the late 19th and early 20th centuries in what is now Belarus. It was created for agricultural work. The aim was to create a breed that was adapted to the local conditions, capable of working sandy, swampy or woodland terrain. The Norwegian Dolehest had the largest influence on the breed. It was officially recognized in Belarus in 2000. It is also used for mare's milk and meat.
